Luxury bahia principe ambar don pablo collection traveller reviews We stayed at the bahia principe ambar, punta cana, the staff were very helpful, speciallythe front desk melissa, any help needed they were there. The food was incredible, specially the asian restaurant at the esmeralda resort, do not miss it.The shows were very nice., The beach is so clean, a lot of shady places.Had a great time.We will for sure go back.Loved it. Room tip:We stayed at the ambar resort in front of the health club, was very quite. This place is a nice change of pace from the drinking games and other party type activities at the bavaro part of the complex. Room tip:Avoid unit 63 cheap ray bans uk ground floor if you are looking for an early sleep. The music from the outdoor loung. Dear pete, we would like to thank you for being a loyal guest and for choosing luxury bahia principe ambar don pablo collection. We send our sincere gratitude for your appreciation of our hardworking staff. Please rest assured that your observations have been taken into great considerations to analyze the points you mentioned. This time my husband and i were in the ambar adults only section.I have only good things to say about this hotel! The beach was amazing and much closer in the ambar section. The only minor complaint i would have is that the air conditioning could have been a tad cooler but like i said it was no biggy and i did hear other guests saying the same thing. From the oatmeal at breakfast to the roast lamb ray ban aviators uk at dinner everything was simply amazing. The presentation of everything just blew me away. There must be people in the kitchen just cutting up veggies and fruits all day long. And did i mention that there was chocolate fondue every night for dessert!I can’t imagine why anyone would have any negative comments. We did 1 a la carte at the garden grill but in all honesty i wasn’t feeling the love there. The waiters seemed very stressed and my food was given to someone at the next table which was ok i was on vacation and in no hurry but the waiter got quite ugly about it.The food there was ok but to be honest the selection at the buffet was so great that we were happy there and it was hard to get the a la cartes early. We like to eat around 6:30ish.We did book the don pablo but ended up cancelling because it was later than we would have liked.People really seemed to enjoy their meal there from what we heard.I actually got in no problem.Everything was perfect and the adult only was pretty nice too no screaming kids!I would return here without hesitation which is also something i have never said before too! Room tip:We were in section 68 on the 3rd floor. We didn have a view of anything but were close to the. Dear guest, we greatly appreciate that you have chosen for second time our luxury bahia principe ambar don pablo collection as your holiday destination. : )Was a surprise trip for a friend’s 40th birthday, and the general consensus over the course of the week seemed to be that i did a great job planning this jaunt. We had a lovely week with fantastic weather and encountered tons of pleasant people at the resort.Being a group of women traveling without menfolk seemed to blow the minds of most of the male employees at the resort(Especially when they learned we’d collectively left 9 children at home with the husbands). So that was kind of fun.Long and short of it:Were beautiful, really lovely, no complaints there.Would have been nice to have a vent/fan in the bathroom so things would dry better but sadly, i don’t have one in my home bathroom, either so i”M used to this inconvenience.Good selection of booze/food/etc.I’d say most of the restaurants on the complex were okay. Not really anything marveous. The exception being the don pablo french restaurant. That was really quite delicious. We kind of loved the buffet selection, and we are foodies(I hate that word, but there ya go. )I think we collectively ate about 29 pounds of mango throughout the week so fantastic.Make sure you make your restaurant reservations upon arriving beach was gorgeous water was amazing.Pool was great, too.We spent the whole week lounging on the beach and hanging out, so i can’t tell you anything about activities or the spa or any of the other things i thought we’d do when i planned the trip. But if you’re looking for a nice place to spend time with friends or a loved one, this is a great place to do it. Dear kendra, first of all, we would like to thank you for bringing to our attention your comments about your stay in our luxury bahia principe ambar don pablo collectionplease allow us to reassure that we are extremely proud to have provided you an unforgettable experience for your friend’s 40th birthday, which reflects the commitment and quality of service we have exhibited through the years. Its an adult only resort so no unpleasant screaming kids to disrupt your peace. When me and my partner booked we didn’t really know what to expect but we was blown away.We was dropped off at the main lobby and after few minutes we was taken to the amber lobby via their resort shuttle. The room:We was in building 68 which was right next to the beach and pool, a corner room(Which we had heard are bigger).Very nice bathroom with a shower and jacuzzi tub.The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels twice a day.Our room didn’t get cleaned till 4 oclock everyday, would of been nice if it was done earlier. The pool and beach are fantastic. The pool is very big with a pool bar and you never have any trouble getting a sun bed.The beach is also great, kept very clean with plenty of sun beds. They also have waiter staff on the beach so no need to move from your sun bed!The buffet restaurant is very nice with lovely waiter staff that always make sure your glasses are topped up.The food is very nice with lots to choose from. The only problem is keeping your eye on the meat products. The dominican is very warm / humid during the day and the main lobby is open all round so gets very hot in the evening. But all the restaurant’s have air conditioning so it keeps cool whilst dining. The staff are fantastic and nothing is to much trouble for them.Because your opinion is one of our top priorities. We really hope to welcoming back to this caribbean paradise in the dominican republic and enjoy all our facilities and services. As this was our 4th time room fantastic big and over looked pool/sea food so lovely lots to choice fromstaff they was good christian from repeat guests was very helpfulthe beach wowlook out for franklin he wears a yellow t shirt he cleans the beach your lounger if sands on it pls give him a tip and watch is face and watch him smile it’s like omg he never gets a tipover all its wow thanx My boyfriend and i stayed at the hotel from 10 september 2013 for 11 nights. The good:The foodthe food on the whole was very good.We absolutely adored the don pablo restaurant!Very impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff and the food was simply out of this world. We also loved the beach buffet situated next to the portofino restaurant(Shout out to francisco who was truly amazing)And the lobby buffet.Room service was also delightful! The staffoverall the staff were very friendly.I want to say a massive thank you to bianca who served me drinks all day at the pool(“Coco loco por favor! “).She is a credit to this hotel. Also thank you to francisco, marcos and meldy who went above and beyond for us.Loved them.Paradise.Also enjoyed the party on the beach. The bad:The roomthe room was nice and spacious but very dark(Almost like a cave)With very poor lighting and a very strange musty smell. To look at it was nice but i could never properly settle in there. The worst was the smell from the drain in the shower. It was sickening. We had to ask for the drain and shower to be cleaned. When the shower was cleaned, it didn’t make a huge difference to the smell. The mini bar was very poorly stocked and we had to ring up about 5 or 6 times to get the mini bar stocked again.Sometimes it could take up to two hours for them to bring drinks. We are in our late 20s but past the ‘party in ibiza’ stage and the entertainment and humidity of the lobby had pretty much the same effect as a sedative!Fortunately we met some great people and had a laugh. The shopsthe prices are astronomical and we were harassed constantly when visiting the shops at the bavaro section. It was very intimidating. Is there really any need? This put us off and meant we purchased nothing there.Fortunately we arranged a shopping trip with out tour operator and picked up some goodies.Hassle at the poolthere were people around the pool asking if sun bathers wanted photos with a monkey on a lead or with some parrots. The photos could then be purchased later on.I found this absolutely disgraceful and quite disturbing.Ambar please stop this.I felt very uncomfortable and sorry for these animals.Theft at the lobbythis was the worst part of our trip.Whilst we were waiting at the ambar lobby for our transfer to the bavaro so that the coach could pick us up to take us to the airport, my boyfriend accidentally left his new ray ban sunglasses on the table.I have a photo of him sitting at the table with the sunglasses on there. He realised he had left them on the table after 20 minutes. When we returned to the table they were gone. The staff at the lobby were frankly a disgrace. Not helpful in any way whatsoever and very shifty. As it was around lunch time, and all but a few of the hotel guests were in the lobby(Most being by the pool / beach), I have fair reason to believe that a member of staff took them. After our friendliness, patience and tips, truly shame on you to the person who did this.Yes it was our fault for leaving them but please trip advisor visitors beware. When a member of staff gets the opportunity, they won’t hold back at this place. We plan to take further action.Overall(Attempting to leave behind my anger at the disgraceful theft)A beautiful hotel with food on the whole being very good and staff on the whole going out of their way to help. However work will need to be done on rooms and the training of some staff to ensure this hotel does not go dramatically down hill.I very much enjoyed the hotel but i won’t be returning. : ) Dear guest, we greatly appreciate that you have chosen one of our resorts as your holiday destination. Please be assured that your comments have been share with the general manager of our resort to analyze the points you mentionedwe would like to let you know that we take our guests observations into great consideration with the aim to reinforce the quality of our services. We cannot tell you how deeply sorry we are for this unfortunate experience that you have made here with us.We are seriously committed to the achievement of our guests’ satisfaction, since their opinion is very important to us.
